Registration Details: Once you sign up with this link, you will receive a training email to complete as you set up a Kaleidoscope profile and prepare for scholarship applications to start to be assigned on February 9.

Project Description: Last year, we awarded nearly $7 million in scholarships to students across the state of Nevada. This year, we’re facing a record-breaking number of applications, and we need volunteers like YOU to help make these opportunities possible.
Scholarship reviews can be completed anywhere in Nevada, from the comfort of your own home, on your own schedule. Just a few hours of your time could truly change the course of a student’s life.
Volunteer support is needed between February 9 and March 20. You can log in whenever it works for you, and we simply ask that your assigned scholarship bundle be completed within two weeks. -

Project Description: CKCA (Chronic kidney cancer advocacy) will be an interactive oratory, accompanied by trained clinical professionals, held at the college of Southern Nevada, West Charleston Ballroom. Natnael Abreham, the coordinator of this event, will deliver a vocal presentation concerning the core principles of chronic kidney cancer, establish why survival-empowerment is imperative, and how one can mitigate internal risk. -

Project Description: The Community Giving Carnival is a youth-led service initiative where student volunteers take full leadership in creating essential care packs for individuals experiencing homelessness. Students will work hands-on at each station to assemble hygiene kits, period-care kits, snack packs, pet-care packs, and handwritten encouragement letters. This project is designed to empower young people to step into service, lead with compassion, and experience what it truly means to support their community. Every care pack these students put together will be donated directly to individuals and families in need, allowing youth to see the immediate impact of their efforts. -

Project Description: This youth led service project brings students from elementary, middle, and high schools together to assemble hygiene kits, snack packs, pet care packs, and handwritten encouragement cards for individuals experiencing homelessness in Las Vegas. Volunteers will rotate through hands on stations as they work side by side to prepare essential items that will be donated directly to people in need.
What makes this project meaningful is the way it empowers young people to lead with compassion, teamwork, and responsibility. By giving youth a direct role in serving their community, this project helps them understand the power of kindness and the impact they can make when they work together to uplift others.

Project Description: Shine Boulder City is a community-wide volunteer day dedicated to caring for and celebrating Boulder City’s Historic Downtown District. Selected as an official Nevada Gives service project through America 250 Nevada, volunteers will work together on light beautification and refresh projects throughout downtown, helping enhance public spaces, support local businesses, and strengthen community pride.
Volunteers ages 14–17 must have a parent or legal guardian present and complete a minor consent waiver. All participants must complete an individual registration and liability waiver prior to the event. No background check is required.

Project Description: Mind Matters: Intergenerational Mental Health Workshop Day is a one-day community event designed to bring together individuals of all ages to learn practical coping skills, strengthen communication, and build confidence in supporting loved ones experiencing mental health challenges.
This free event will serve 100+ community participants through interactive workshops such as Grounding for All Ages, Talking About Mental Health, and How to Help a Loved One.
Volunteers will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment by assisting with workshop facilitation, participant engagement, hospitality, logistics, and documentation.
All volunteers are required to complete a short Volunteer Application Form, followed by a 30-minute virtual 1:1 meeting with our Volunteer & Outreach Specialist. This conversation allows us to learn more about your interests, availability, and ensure a good fit for the event.
Selected volunteers will then complete a brief onboarding session prior to the event to review expectations, roles, and event-day logistics.

Project Description: A monument will be installed in the Memorial Garden of the Veteran's Cemetery in Boulder City to honor America's "First" Veterans from the Revolutionary War.
No special requirements except respect for the hallowed ground of the cemetery. Local Scout Troops have offered to help by handing out programs and small American flags.

Project Description: Volunteers will assist LCC (Life Community Center LV), home of the Queen’s Food Program, in a community food outreach service project supporting families experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers will help set up, receive donated food, sort and organize groceries, assist with serving, canvass to invite new recipients, break down, and clean up. This collaborative volunteer effort will strengthen community engagement while ensuring that nutritious food reaches individuals and families in need with dignity and care.
