Beginning in January, the Washoe County Historic Courthouse will hold a Moment of Honor led by a local champion of democracy who will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and present a local musical artist to perform a patriotic song. The champion will also be given the opportunity to lead a presentation on a selected historical figure significant to America’s 250 years of nationhood.
