Project Description: For MLK Weekend 2026, Heroes & Heart is proud to collaborate with Scholarship Solutions and Dr. Rhea M. Watson, “The Scholarship Doctor”, to present The Scholarship Lounge: MLK Weekend. This statewide volunteer initiative will engage teachers, parents, college students, and professionals. Application Navigators and Welcome Ambassadors—helping Nevada students begin writing their first scholarship essays and taking steps toward applying for scholarships as Scholarship Season begins in January each year. Through this partnership, Heroes & Heart continues its mission of transforming service into empowerment—connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities to uplift others and opening doors for students who might otherwise believe college is out of reach. Together with community partners, we are cultivating a Nevada where service, education, and equity move hand in hand toward lasting impact.
