NEVADA GIVES SEEKS PROPOSALS FOR VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
America250 Nevada’s Program works to increase volunteerism throughout the State
Reno, Nev. (July 23, 2025) – The America250 Nevada is hosting 36 volunteer projects between January 1 and July 4, 2026 as part of Semiquincentennial anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.
Modeled after the national, America Gives project, Nevada Gives is working with Nevada Volunteers to use volunteerism as a tool to spur aims to promote community engagement and foster a sense of unity among Nevadans.
The program has been supported generously by MGM Resorts, a company known for their commitment to volunteerism, employee giving and company philanthropy. MGM Resorts’ philanthropic commitment is designed to drive positive social impact in their communities.

Nevada Gives Volunteer Projects will support 36 volunteer projects ranging from park clean-ups to community improvement projects to food and clothing drives. Each project aims to promote community engagement and foster a sense of unity among Nevadans.
A statewide call for projects is open on the America250NV.org site. Chosen proposals will receive a stipend that corresponds to the scale of the proposal and the number of potential volunteers. The projects will also receive assistance in recruiting volunteers and promoted on the America250 Nevada site and social media accounts. The portal for proposals closes on Oct. 31, 2025.
To help non-profit organizations understand the goals of the initiatives and process, Nevada Volunteers is hosting Q&A sessions on July 30, 2025 and Sept. 15, 2025. There is also an extended Lunch & Learn on all the America250 NV initiatives on Aug. 21, 2025. Those interested can register here.
