Join the City of Reno on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. for the America 250 Courthouse Salute at the historic Washoe County Courthouse as part of the nationwide commemoration of the United States' 250th anniversary.
This special ceremony celebrates our nation's history, honors the generations who have shaped our community, and recognizes the City employees and public safety personnel who proudly serve the Biggest Little City every day. The program will feature the Pledge of Allegiance presented by Liberty Dogs, the National Anthem, remarks from Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, an Air National Guard flyover, and participation from the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department, and the City's Maintenance & Operations team.
The ceremony will take place at the Second Judicial District Court, 75 Court St., Reno, NV and is open to the public and media partners. Community members, veterans, families, and visitors are encouraged to attend as we honor our nation's past while celebrating the people who continue to serve our community today.
